Great news continues to be reported about Michigan.

TripAdvisor, a travel planning and booking website has concluded a survey titled The 10 Hottest U.S. Destinations For Summer, what site was named the top United States summer destination?

It is Michigan’s Mackinac Island.

The site stated about Mackinac Island:

Mackinac is world-famous for its homemade fudge and travelers can work off sugar highs by exploring the limestone bluffs of Mackinac Island State Park

According to Mackinac.com:

It was the Victorians who made Mackinac Island one of the nation's most favored summer resorts. In the post-Civil War industrial age and before automobiles, vacationers traveled by large lake excursion boats from Buffalo, Cleveland, Chicago and Detroit to the cooler climes of Mackinac Island.
