Funeral services are Friday for Kiyana McNeal, the four-year-old that was killed by the family's new pet.

The little girl loved animals, and wanted to grow up to be a veterinarian. Unfortunately, that will never happen because she was mauled to death by a dog her family had just bought.

The 4-year-old Doberman (or Doberman mix), had just been delivered to the girls home around 4 pm on Sunday when the attack happened. WWMT.com reported that...

"The girl was trying to give the doberman a treat when it lunged at her neck, while her mother frantically tried to pry the dog off her."

Neighbors heard screams, rushed to the scene to help, and found Kiyana's mother sobbing over the child's body. The man who had sold the family the canine, rushed back to the house, and started CPR on the little girl, but it was too late.

Neighbors claim that the man who sold the family the animal was quoted as saying..

"It was a four-year-old dog and he said they've never had any problems or that the dog was going to be aggressive,"

Kiyana's mother Jacey was taken to the hospital for bite wounds, and the dog was taken to animal control. No word on if the animal was destroyed. Family and friends remain in shock as they mourn the loss of this little one who loved to sing, dance, and visit neighbors.

Mlive.com reported the agenda for the funeral for this angel...

"Relatives and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville."

"Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Fish Lake Bible Church in Sturgis. Interment will be in Prairie River Cemetery."

"In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph County Animal Rescue. "

The family is raising funds for Kiyana's funeral on YouCaring.
