Another Sign Winter Will End: Oberon Day Set For March 23rd

It's bigger in these parts than the first day of spring: Oberon Day is Monday, March 23.

Bell's Brewing, Inc. set Monday, March 23 as Oberon Day: The day when the world-famous seasonal white ale goes on sale for 2015.

Events at Bell's and at bars around the area will commence beginning at 9 a.m. on March 23. According to MLive, there will only be one midnight release party in the area, which is at Shakepeare's Pub on Kalamazoo Avenue. (There are other parties planned outside of Kalamazoo).

Some people wait for the swallows to return to Capistrano. Here in Kalamazoo, we can't wait for the swallows of Oberon to return to our favorite watering hole or party store.

After this long winter, the setting of Oberon Day is like a ray of hope. And it comes on the day after my birthday. How thoughtful.
