Bald Men Should Eat More McDonald’s Fries?
Might there be a tasty way in which us follically challenged men can grow more hair?
Perhaps, and all we need to possibly do is eat more McDonald’s fries. The question then is would you rather have hair or be over weight?
Japanese scientists from Yokohama National University may have discovered a cure for baldness and they say it lies within a chemical used to make delicious McDonald’s fries.
This research team was studying stem cells and they believe they found what they call a “simple” method to regrow hair on mice by using dimethylpolysiloxane, the silicone added to McDonald’s fries to stop cooking oil from frothing.
They say the breakthrough came after the scientists successfully mass-produced “hair follicle germs” (HFG) which were created for the first time ever in this way.
They believe that they may have found a method that produces hair follicles:
that may lead to a new treatment for hair loss.
One of the authors of the study stated in a news release that:
The key for the mass production of HFGs (hair follicle germs) was a choice of substrate materials for culture vessel…We used oxygen-permeable dimethylpolysiloxane (PDMS) at the bottom of culture vessel, and it worked very well.
Wait are you saying that the hair growth medication may not be administered by eating McDonald’s fries? Well that is not a fun way in which to grow our hair back.
Maybe McDonald’s can find a way to pack more of the dimethylpolysiloxane into their fries and that would certainly make treatment for male pattern baldness welcomed.
Can you imagine coming home from the doctors and showing your wife a prescription for eating McDonald's fries, I wonder what she would say.
