A strong storm and suspected tornado hit the Van Buren County city of Bangor yesterday (8/20/16), one of 6 tornadoes that likely struck Lower Michigan that day. One video captured the rotation of the possible tornado forming.

The video shared by WOOD-TV 8 in Grand Rapids shows a twister forming. The funnel cloud appears at 1:56 in the video below.

The aftermath of the storm was captured by a Kalamazoo Gazette reporter and shows uprooted trees, down power lines and a tree that came to rest on a house.

After the storm system passed Bangor, reported touchdowns occurred in Fennville in Allegan County, Dorr in Ottawa, Byron Center and Grandville in Kent County and finally Orleans in Ionia County.
