An early morning car chase ended in the arrest of the driver.

Battle Creek Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Lincoln Hills and Eastway, at approximately 2:20 AM Sunday morning. The driver immediately attempted to evade Police, crashing his vehicle into a pole and continuing to flee for several miles.

The Michigan State Police joined the pursuit with the vehicle finally crashing into a cornfield, Southwest of Battle Creek.

Several officers were treated at Battle Creek Bronson for minor injuries and released. The suspect was also treated at Battle Creek Bronson for minor injuries sustained from the accident.

The man is now lodged in The Calhoun County Jail for Fleeing and Eluding and Resisting and Obstructing.
