Battle Creek police have confirmed that Timothy Erwin-Paul Wells is now in custody just hours after a photo was released reporting he was the suspect in a weekend shooting. The Battle Creek Police Department is thanking everyone who called with information related to the shooting at TJ's Party Store Saturday morning.

Battle Creek police are asking the public to help them locate a suspect who has been identified and is accused in a shooting over the weekend. 21-year-old Timothy Erwin-Paul Wells is wanted on felony charges for a shooting at a liquor store. Wells (pictured above) is described as a black man, with black hair and brown eyes, 5’5” tall, an 120 pounds.

The shooting happened early Saturday at TJ’s Party Store on Meachem Avenue. No other information has been released about the incident or any potential injuries from the shooting. There is also no indication that this suspect is connected to a double shooting on Sunday morning that left two injured in the 200 block of Oneita Street.

Anyone with information on Wells, and his whereabouts, are asked to contact Battle Creek police or call Silent Observer at 269-964-3888.
