Biggby Coffee Set to Open South Portage Location

A new Biggby Coffee is opening in south Portage, close enough to West Lake to hear the gulls when you get an early morning cup.

The Biggby is set for the corner of Portage Road and Ames Drive just north of The Cove Lakeside Bistro, the former Jason's Cove, and West Lake Drive In.

Signs went up on the building that's to house the coffee shop recently. There's evidence of construction inside and the beginnings of a drive-thru lane.

The new location, which isn't yet listed on the company's website, will be the first for the south side of Portage. Other Biggby locations in the city are on Centre Ave near US 131, Wednedge north of Romence Road and Portage Road near the airport.

There is no opening date yet slated for the West Lake Biggby.
