Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton is officially announcing he has filed the necessary documents to seek re-election. Including his first term as Calhoun County Sheriff that began in January of 2013, Sheriff Saxton has served over 22 years with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Saxton’s experience has continued to be an advantage while leading his law enforcement team through an ever changing and challenging world. The Correctional Facility continues to generate positive revenue while the addition of the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center has contributed to coordination and cooperation with other area police agencies.

Saxton says, “Safety remains my first priority as we move forward together. Our families and the entire community should expect this from their Sheriff and I will continue to provide it. I look forward to another term working together with a professional team and supportive community.”

Saxton has been a frequent guest on the Richard Piet Show on WBCK.
