You may think taking a nice, long, hot bath sounds like a great way to relax, but for a Chesaning woman who got stuck in her bathtub, that idea isn't so appealing.

Alison Gibson got into the bathtub on Monday, October 15th and tells ABC-12 that she couldn't get out because the handrail was out of reach.

"When I get down there, I couldn't get back out," Gibson said. "Because (the handrail) was behind me, I couldn't get myself turned around to get a hold of it, that I usually use to get out."

Gibson spent the next several days in the tub with no food and no cellphone.

"I basically just sat there," she said. "When I got cold, I ran the hot water. When I get thirsty, I took a drink out of the cold water. That's about it, try to find a way to get out."

An alert postal worker noticed that Gibson's mail was starting to pile up and alerted neighbors who checked on her.

Gibson spent a few days in a local hospital where she was told she suffered no major health setback due to the ordeal.
