According to Jia Wang, an ice climatologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory in Ann Arbor "the remaining levels of ice cover are amazing"

Due to this he is predicting a cooler summer.  What ever happened to Global Warming?

The spring is relatively cool which he believes will lead to a colder than usual summer for us in Michigan.  Great, that will bring some relief to our electric bills after such high heating bills.

As we head into May the Great Lakes combined still remain 26% ice-covered, by comparison, about this time last year the Great Lakes were less than 2% covered with ice.
