There’s something about that new car smell that you just can’t replicate. One of the main benefits of a new car is how crispy it smells every time you step inside. It turns out China isn’t that hip with the smell, and Detroit’s Ford Motor Company may put an end to the smell all together, according to Local 4. Lots of people love the new car smell, but being that Ford is a global company, Ford is selling cars in more places than the United States.

In fact, in China where they have the largest car market in the world, drivers hate the new car smell more than poor fuel economy according to officials. There has yet to be an announcement whether they will follow through and eliminate the smell world wide or in just certain markets. It does make you wonder and worry if other companies will follow suit. Let's hope not.
