Michael Fulmer showed why he's on the All Star team with another great pitching performance, and the Tigers pulled out a 5-3 win in Detroit over the visiting San Francisco Giants.Fulmer went 8 innings and got his 8th win against six losses.  He gave up just five hits, and struck out five, walking just one.

Fulmer gave up a home run to Hunter Pence in the first inning, but Victor Martinez countered with one in the second, and his RBI single in the fourth scored Justin Upton, who had walked. Nick Castellanos hit a sacrifice fly to score another run, and the Tigers led 3-1.

In the 7th, Fulmer gave up a two-run homer to Brandon Crawford to tie the game.

But in the Tigers' 7th, Justin Upton had one of his three hits on the day to score two runs.  That was all Fulmer and closer Justin Wilson needed to preserve the win.

The two teams play again on Wednesday night.   Daniel Norris starts for the Tigers.  Hear the game at 6:45pm on 95.3 WBCK.
