Gas Prices Now Below $2.00 In Parts Of Battle Creek & Kalamazoo

For the first time in a couple of years, you can buy gas for under $2 a gallon in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. According to GasBuddy.com, the Circle K gas station at Columbia and Riverside is selling gas to cash paying customers for $1.97. The BP station kitty-corner to the Circle K there is reportedly selling gas at $2.02 a gallon. Most other Battle Creek gas stations are in the $2.15 to $2.20 range for regular unleaded.

In the Kalamazoo area, the cheapest gas was being sold for $1.98 per gallon at three different stations located on the west side of the city near the Western Michigan University campus. Most other stations in the Kalamazoo metro area were in the $2.10 to $2.20 range.

Statewide, the lowest price reported was $1.70 a gallon at a couple of stations in the Mason community in Ingham County. AAA says the average price in Michigan right now is $2.25 per gallon, nearly 20 cents lower than the national average.
