A Kalamazoo woman will be headed to trial for allegedly stabbing her father’s girlfriend to death.

MLive reports that on Monday, 21-year-old Olivia Berry was in Kalamazoo County Court to continue a preliminary examination, and a judge ruled there was enough evidence to send her to trial on open murder charges in the death of 23-year-old Aiesha Walker. Prosecutors say that on May 29, Berry and Walker had been arguing, with Berry threatening the victim’s life verbally.

When Walker came downstairs, the suspect had allegedly armed herself with two knives and began stabbing the victim multiple times, leaving her dead. Berry was arrested shortly after the incident.

A trial date has not yet been set.
