What college doesn't love beer? Now they can learn how to brew it, sell it, all while getting a degree!

Mlive reports on the excitement of the new and innovative program that Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) is offering...

"It's a pretty cool thing for us to be able to do," said Bill Pink, vice president and dean of workforce development at the college. "It's a move that is a strong response to our community and our industry. When you look at Grand Rapids as Beer City, it makes sense for us as a community college to do all we can to train the industry."

Other colleges do have similar programs but the schools are teamed up with local breweries, at G.R.C.C., the school has total control over the process.

Mlive is reporting that the college is ready to serve up there beer.

"The pub can host about 50 people. The brewery has a three-barrel Craftwerks system that is designed to brew about six kegs per batch. The taps will feature a pale ale, both a CO2 and Nitro Scottish ale, Hefeweizen, an American IPA, a lagered Baltic Porter and a blonde ale."

Here is the schedule, the pub will  be open on Thursday and Fridays from 5:30 to 8:30 on selective days.
