Kalamazoo Marathon Named Best Road Race in Michigan

The website BestThingsMI.com has name the Kalamazoo Marathon the road race in Michigan. The Marathon also picked up two other accolades recently, too.Among the praise from BestThingsMI.com is this:

The race encourages spectators to create "excitement zones" to help drive runners forward along the huge and twisting course. Along the way, spectators will see Kalamazoo's neighborhoods, parks, and even its first-of-its-kind downtown pedestrian mall.

Another honor bestowed on the Kalamazoo Marathon, according to race director Blaine Lam, the Marathon was voted the only spring Michigan race on the best list of the National 100 Half Marathon Club (the other two are in the fall, including the Detroit Half Marathon)

And finally, the Marathon was listed as a “Must Run” by Running Times magazine.
