With a whole new group of graduates entering the job market, along with some existing teachers looking to work in Kalamazoo, Friday afternoon's Teacher Job Fair will be an opportunity for all to connect of positions available.Here's the most important information, first. The Kalamazoo Public Schools Teacher Job Fair is Friday afternoon (5/18) from 4p-6p at the KPS West Main Professional Development Center at 1627 West Main Street.

Here's what KPS is looking for: They are hiring teachers for the Washington Writers’ Academy and the Woodward School for Technology and Research. These two schools are in a pilot program next school year that will run on a different schedule than other schools, with classes starting in July and vacation time scheduled differently, similar to alternative schools..

In addition to this, KPS is hiring teachers for regular teaching positions for all grades for the coming school year. They're specifically looking for mathematics, science, Spanish, special education and for English as a Second Language. They may also be hiring counselors for high school and middle school.

KPS says bring a resume to the job fair on Friday or start the application process early on the KPS website.
