A Kalamazoo resident is now in jail after community tips led to the discovery of illegal drugs.

Around 9:30am Thursday, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the area of Ada St. and Woodbury after community complaints.  Officers observed a drug deal go down, and made contact with a 33-year-old Kalamazoo resident.

It was discovered that they had warrants out for their arrest, and that they had crack cocaine in their possession.  Investigation led to a search warrant being executed to a home on Ada St, and a significant amount of crack cocaine and marijuana were found, along with a scale and around $6000 in cash.

The 33-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver, and maintaining a drug house.
