Police in Kalamazoo spent the overnight hours searching for suspects they say shot two people and took off in a stolen vehicle on the east side of the city. FOX 17 reports that three suspects are in custody and likely facing charges in the incident. Officers responded to the 800 block of Riverview Drive near Gull Road just before 10:00 pm Sunday night after two teens were shot. Investigators say the suspects fled the scene in a stolen vehicle before officers could arrive.

Shortly after, police located what was believed to have been the stolen car and officers pursued it until the vehicle crashed at Davis Street and Wheaton Avenue around 4:00 am. After a brief foot chase, the three were taken into custody. An 18-year-old and 17-year-old suffered gunshot wounds but are expected to be ok. There is no word on the motive for the shooting. No names have been released.

Anyone who may have witnessed any of the incidents involved in the case should contact Kalamazoo police.
