Rumors of Wayside's demise have been around for years But those rumors became more numerous after a deadly incident in April of 2014. Orlando Mitchell was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of Damien Tejada.

In it's hey day, Wayside West was a successful dance club, a sports bar with numerous televisions and a restaurant with good food.

In recent years, attendance has fallen off, with the shrinking popularity of dance clubs, the availability of sports packages such as "Sunday Ticket" and even further after the fatal incident last year.

Current management will only say that the building has been sold to a developer. No further details are available.
