Man Armed With Knife Arrested After Kalamazoo Home Invasion

A man is in jail following a home invasion in Kalamazoo Saturday morning.

According to police, the 21-year-old man forced his way into a home armed with two knives and tried to take the five women inside hostage.

One of those women barricaded herself inside a bathroom and called police. Police arrived as the man broke through a second story window.

He jumped to the roof of the garage and then to the ground, where he was arrested.

One of the women suffered a minor cut.

The suspect was treated for lacerations suffered as he made his escape, and has been jailed pending arraignment.
