A Kalamazoo man who went missing last week has now been found dead.

WOODTV says that just before 8pm Monday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers were called to East Michigan Ave. near the Veteran’s Memorial, where someone said they saw a body in the Kalamazoo River. When crews recovered the body, they were able to identify it as 27-year-old Daniel Redd, who went missing Wednesday, November 22, after he walked away from his Kalamazoo Township home.

Right now, police say there weren’t obvious signs of foul play, but an autopsy is set to take place Tuesday to determine Redd’s cause of death. Those who have information about how Redd died are asked to contact police.
