Michigan's elections board has deadlocked on President-elect Donald Trump's request to prevent a recount, which means it will start next Tuesday or Wednesday unless the courts intervene. Two Republicans voted today to prevent the recount, while two Democrats said it should proceed. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette asked the state Supreme Court today to intervene and stop the recount. That motion is pending.

Recounts have to be completed by December 19th or a state’s electoral votes might not be counted.

Things are currently on hold in Calhoun County but Clerk-Register Anne Norlander says they’re ready to start counting, as soon as they get official word.

A Wisconsin recount is underway, though Trump's supporters have filed a federal lawsuit trying to stop it. In Pennsylvania, Trump is asking a court to dismiss Green Party Candidate Jill Stein's recount request.
