Extensive construction work is happening at Milwood Elementary in Kalamazoo. One of the workers uncovered a letter from 1958 near some old lockers.

The photos were shared with the outstanding Vanished Kalamazoo Facebook group by Doug Parish, one of the workers on the site.

You can see the letter and envelope in the photos below. The letter is from Phyllis who lived on Southern Avenue in Kalamazoo and sent to a Linda Brown from Cincinnati, Ohio and written just prior to Christmas 1958. The letter writer, Phyllis, is anticipating Linda's visit to Kalamazoo over Christmas vacation.

Along found under the old lockers were a protractor and pencil from a business at 1401 Steuben Street. Although no Steuben Street exists in Kalamazoo today, so that one's a bit of a mystery.
