"What Pet Should I Get?" is a recently discovered Seuss book written sometime between 1958 and 1962. Scheduled for first publication July 28, the book is from one of two manuscripts Seuss' widow discovered after his death.  The discovery, one review noted, was the literary equivalent of finding buried treasure.

The book is about making up one’s mind and follows a visit by a brother and sister to a pet store to pick a pet.  Naturally, they can’t choose just one.

The free public event in Buster's, part of the WMU Bookstores Shops, is sponsored by the WMU Reading Clinic and the University's on-campus childcare center, The Children's Place Learning Center. The celebration of the new book will feature prizes, activities for children, face painting and more.
