Opera Singer Who Can’t Stop Farting While Singing Sues for $2.5 Million
Here’s a legal battle you probably won’t see anytime soon on ‘Judge Judy.’
An opera singer has filed a lawsuit against a hospital, claiming a procedure she had while giving birth has left her unable to sing without passing gas.
Yes, you read that right.
Amy Herbst, who worked with the Nashville Opera Company, is suing Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital because of the incident, which happened when she went there to have a baby.
It’s kind of hard to explain — not to mention somewhat graphic — so in simple terms Herbst had to be treated for a tear, which did not properly heal and, according to her suit, caused her to struggle when it comes to controlling her bodily functions:
As a result of her incontinence and excessive flatulence, Herbst has been unable to work as a professional opera singer.”
Herbst is suing for $2.5 million.
Her prognosis doesn’t appear promising. Doctors have told her reconstructive surgery may not help and she may need to undergo a series of other operations.
