It appears that the Lansing State Education officials are looking to develop a new statewide education assessment test to replace the MEAP (Michigan Education Assessment Program) test with less than 8 months before testing begins.

The new test is to include the student performance rating for teachers evaluations in Michigan starting in the 2014-2015 school year.

It appears this new test is attempting to be implemented in a shorter time period than previous tests which will open it up to criticism by the teachers and their unions.

This new assessment test will be administered to students in grades 3 through 8 and 11th graders in math and English language arts.

Here we go with another round of debates.
