Uncertified numbers are in for Tuesday’s primary election.

Proposal 1 on the statewide ballot appears likely to win approval.  The proposal will affirm the removal of the personal property tax on business.

Incumbent Representative for the 3rd U.S. House district Justin Amash defeated challenger Brian Ellis for the Republican nomination.

Jon Hoadley beat David Buskirk and Pamela Brown Goodacre for the Democrat Party nomination in the 60th State House district to face Mike Perrin.

Kalamazoo County Commissioner Brandt Iden has defeated fellow commissioner Phil Stinchomb in a bid for the Republican nomination for the 61st state House District.

In a close race for 63rd State House district Republican nomination, David Maturen edged out Vic Potter to take on Democrat Bill Farmer in the general election.

Margaret O’Brien has won the Republican nomination for the 20th State Senate District.

Incumbent Fred Upton appears to have won the Republican Party’s nomination for reelection over challenger Jim Bussler in the 6th Congressional District; he’ll face democrat Paul Clements in the general election.

The Climax Township Fire Department millage passed.

The Comstock Older Adult Support Service millage passed.

The Lawton schools operating millage renewal passed.

The Mattawan school millage renewal passed.

The Parchment school millage renewal passed.

The Schoolcraft School bonding proposal failed.

The Galesburg/Charleston Memorial District Library millage proposal passed.

The Charles A. Ransom District Library millage proposal passed.
