In a close race for 63^rd State House district Republican nomination, David Maturen edged out Vic Potter to take on Democrat Bill Farmer in the general election.

Margaret O’Brien has won the Republican nomination for the 20^th State Senate District.

Incumbent Fred Upton appears to have won the Republican Party’s nomination for reelection over challenger Jim Bussler in the 6^th Congressional District; he’ll face democrat Paul Clements in the general election.

The Comstock Older Adult Support Service millage passed.

The Lawton schools operating millage renewal passed.

The Mattawan school millage renewal passed.

The Parchment school millage renewal passed.

The Schoolcraft School bonding proposal failed.

The Galesburg/Charleston Memorial District Library millage proposal passed.

The Charles A. Ransom District Library millage proposal passed.
