Over the next couple of weeks I will be re-posting some of my columns written about Donald Trump in the 18 months leading up to his election as the 45th President of The United States. This is part of that series.

Donald Trump just won the New Hampshire primary by a very wide margin. I was out with Ivey last night and it has become almost predictable when people walk up to us and say “can you believe this is what it’s come to…” Meaning they will support Donald Trump but just cannot believe that is all they have to vote for.

Hey what’s the problem?

Trump has brought illegal immigration to the forefront. Trump discusses the national debt. Trump has condemned the Trans Pacific Partnership trade pact championed by Barack Obama. Trump has been the one candidate who isn’t afraid to put America first.

So I ask again, what’s the problem?

On a historical footnote, no Republican has claimed the nomination and therefore the White House after loosing both Iowa and New Hampshire. So if history is a road map to this years outcome- Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for President in 2016.

So, you’d better ask yourself what do you prefer, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?

I know without a doubt what I will do.
