What is wrong with people? We don't have the space to explore even a tip of that problem, No, this is the incredibly disturbing news that Michigan punter Blake O'Neill received death threats after the last play loss to Michigan State on Saturday afternoon.

What kind of a sick moron does that? This is a young man barely out of his teens. He's going to live with this the rest of his life. Are these the same idiots that were cheering his side-winding 80 yard punt early in the game?

Thankfully, Twitter accounts can be identified. Most people have an IP address footprint. Let's make an example of these sickos much like former ballplayer Curt Schilling did with the idiots who cyber-bullied his daughter.

How sad is it that I've read more words of encouragement for O'Neill from MSU coach Mark Dantonio than from Michigan's Jim Harbaugh. The only quote I've seen from Harbaugh is, O'Neill should've fallen on the ball. Harbaugh is in Washington today, visiting with the President, talking about the game. Why aren't they out in front the White House press corp. denouncing this kind of behavior? Yes, the Michigan AD issues an open letter to Michigan fans, and players expressed support for O'Neill, but Captain Khakipants is the face of the franchise. Sad.

And one other thing. Let's ALL be happy about the news that Michigan State's
Jalen Watts-Jackson, who scored the game-winning touchdown, is recovering from season-ending hip surgery. Detroit media reports quote a family member as saying the injury is not the same as what happening to Bo Jackson in the late 1980's, which in effect, ended a very storied two sport athletic career.
