A Battle Creek man has been arraigned in the death of Diabulo White, a 43 year-old Battle Creek man, whose body was discovered in the trunk of a car, owned by his girlfriend, after it was towed and impounded by Tiger’s Towing.

Police received a tip on a possible suspect and went to a house in the 100 block of Somerset Ave. A man was leaving the house, as authorities arrived, and fled the scene. He was caught, after a short foot-chase and arrested. A handgun was found nearby and a search of his residence revealed possible evidence related to Diabulo White's murder.

The investigation has led authorities to believe that the death is a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation.

48 year-old Marko McGee was arraigned on charges of Open Murder, possession of weapons, resisting arrest and being a habitual offender. He is being held at the Calhoun County Jail without bond.
