How do you explain a voluntary precautionary recall to a 4 year old? A lot of parents may be asking themselves just that. The makers of Goldfish crackers are pulling four variations of their popular cracker, due to possible salmonella concerns. That's not to say there is salmonella in them, but USA Today reports, some suspect whey powder has raised concerns and thus the recall.

The four types of Goldfish crackers are:

  • Flavor Blasted Sour Cream and Onion
  • Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

It's important to point out, there have been no reports of illness. This is just extra precaution from Pepperidge Farm.

They recommend throwing them out or returning them to the store where you bought them. Pepperidge Farm also has an online reimbursement method.
