Would a tiny house fit your needs?

Tiny homes have been popping up all over the country for the last few years. Some people simply want to downsize, others want a great little cottage to escape up North too. Whatever the reason, tiny houses are a trend and they are coming to Kalamazoo.

The price range of these little dwellings can start at 3,500 and go up from there depending on what you choose. The cost does not include the property or things like a toilet, stove, etc. The house can be as small at 230 square feet. Crazy right? Crazy cool though. Mlive reported,

"The construction industry has recognized the tiny house movement, a post-Great Recession shift (the 2008 recession officially ended in 2010) in which people are downsizing and trying to live more simply in smaller, more efficient spaces."

The cherry on the sundae is not only that it is economically smart but you are reducing your carbon footprint.

Kalamazoo can look forward to seeing these home pop up on Charles Ave in Kalamazoo's Eastside Neighborhood.

Check out this tiny house; I kinda love it!

Here's another tiny house that was set up in Ann Arbor by a University of Michigan student tired of paying rent.
