Winter and road construction is obviously the punch to a well know Michigan joke. (There's two seasons of the year in Michigan. What are they?) But, road construction is a fact of life. The Michigan Dept. of Transportation (M-DOT) will begin re-paving the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 from Exit 88 (40th St.) all the way to Exit 80 (Sprinkle Rd.)

M-DOT promises to keep the traffic pain to a minimum with nighttime and overnight lane closures. The project starts Monday (April 17th) and goes until Tuesday, June 27th.

For those of us with short memories, the eastbound side was done last year.
