WMU Student Groups To Honor Michigan Marines Killed in Crash

Broncos for Heroes and the Western Michigan University Student Veterans Association will be at the campus flag poles from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 to offer members of the campus community an opportunity to honor three Michigan Marines killed March 10 during a training exercise off the Florida coast.

Students, faculty and staff members will have the opportunity to sign three banners--one for each of the three Michigan servicemen who lost their lives. The banners will be sent to the Marine unit. The unit, in turn, will present the to the families. The WMU groups will also honor those lost a moment of silence and the paying of taps at noon.
