Many of us have been taught and we teach our children to use the words ma’am and sir when speaking to an adult.  Well apparently in parts of our society, those parts in which a certain ideologue is attempting to tear down our society, it is no longer accepted or welcomed.

An ABC affiliate in Tarbor North Carolina reported on a fifth grader who was punished for referring to his teacher as “ma’am”.

This fifth grader’s mom one day after school noticed something was wrong with her son when he got off the bus, so she asked him what was wrong.  His mother was quoted in the article stating:

I asked him what happened. He said he got in trouble for saying 'yes ma'am'

Many of you may be asking what is happening to our societyThe Live with Renk show airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon, to let me know your thoughts call (269) 441-9595, well as I have been saying the ideologue that now has consumed the Democratic Party is tearing down that society and wants to remake it in their own image.

It gets worse, apparently after this fifth grader said “yes ma’am” to his teacher the teacher stated:

if she had something, she would have thrown it at him

His father was quoted in the article stating:

It wasn't right. It wasn't professional. As a teacher, it wasn't appropriate. And I asked her why she thought it was okay to do that

According to the father the teacher acknowledged saying that, but was not serious and believed their son was aware of that.

When the school was asked about the incident an official with the school released a short statement regarding the handling of the incident in which they said:

This is a personnel matter which has been handled appropriately by the K-7 principal

As I have been telling my listeners for years, they should be very aware of what is going on at their children’s school and act immediately if they feel that something is wrong.

This my friends is really wrong, how can we not teach our children to respect their elders in this way and not expect an adverse consequence later on down the road.
