3 Ways To Get Rid Of Moles Without Killing Them

Moles are destroying yards all over West Michigan. Ever wonder how to get rid of these little critters without killing them? Here are a few life hacks that may help you below.

Plant Daffodils and Marigolds
According to gardens.com,

Moles detest the smell of daffodils and marigold so you should use these flower bearing plants as hedges on your lawns and gardens. Although you cannot expect that moles will leave your entire yard or garden alone if you plant daffodils and marigolds, you can be sure that they will keep off the area near these plants. A bonus for planting these types of plants in your lawn or garden is that they will not only ward of the feisty moles, they can also make your lawn and garden look lovely.

Castor Oil
Similar to planting Marigolds, Castor Oil came up on almost every website during my search. DoYourOwnPestControl.com says,

Live Traps
According to PestKill.com,

Locate the tunnels which moles are currently using. Flatten the pushed up soil and check the next day if it’s risen again. After you located active tunnels, place a live trap in the entrance to the hole and cover with any solid covering. A mole will get into the trap basket but will not be able to get out.
