A 5th grader credits a youtuber after saving his teacher from choking in Bay City, Michigan Monday.

Dylan Paul is being hailed a hero.  As he should be.  He saw his computer teacher choking on a muffin and jumped into action according to his interview with WNEM.com,

"All of a sudden she starts doing the universal choking sign, which I see. I get out of my chair, take off my phones, and I ask her if she is choking," said Dylan Paul, student.

That's when Dylan sprang into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver on the teacher.

Dylan explained that he follows the youtube channel Jaiden Animations.  This is a popular youtube channel with almost 100 videos and 6.2 Million subscribers.  One of the videos demonstrate how to do the Heimlich maneuver.

We've all used youtube for a million things, right?  You can learn how to tile a floor and do your make up thanks to thousands of videos on those subjects.  Who knew a youtube video would save a life?  Amazing!

Karen Renko, the teacher Dylan saved, had this to say about his student to WNEM.com,

"I am so thankful to have had Dylan in the room at the time. His presence of mind and willingness to step up and help shows that he is wise beyond his years. Dylan is a real live hero."
