Well, this is it. This is where we're at.

Michigan made the national news yesterday and, while this SHOULD be a good thing, it is still incredibly sad.

Construction was started on Fruitport High School in 2018, just after the Parkland, Florida school shooting. It is currently about half-done; and should be completed in August of 2021.

The school is designed to thwart a shooting. Corridors are curved to reduce line-of-sight, the glass is shatter-resistant and there are lock-down systems that can be activated easily by using a cell phone.

And if you're wondering where they got the $45 million that this project will cost, it was an approved 30-year millage that will generate about $50 million by the end.
