Advia Credit Union is building a new corporate headquarters in Oshtemo Township, just west of US 131, on West Main St. Groundbreaking is set for this Spring.

The 150,000 square building is to be on a 38-acre parcel on the north side of West Main St. before getting to the Meijer store, west of Kalamazoo.

“When we were looking at possible locations to build our new headquarters, Oshtemo stood out as the perfect fit. It is a thriving area with a strong focus on community. - Cheryl DeBoer, Advia President and CEO, in a release.

Advia says the new 3-story building will have space for 460 employees but will initially house approximately 240 employees from 32 departments. In addition to the headquarters, the building will have retail space for "locally owned businesses" on the first floor as well as additional rooms for seminars, events, and community outreach. The plan is to also have outdoor terraces will overlook a landscaped water feature.

Advia spokeperson Faith Cerwin says Advia remains "fully committed" to the Parchment branch on Riverview Drive.
