Attentive Neighbor Leads To Arrests In Pennfield B&E Wednesday
Two people are in custody after Calhoun County authorities say they were caught in the act of breaking into a house Wednesday night.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that around 8:41pm Wednesday, a resident in the 100 block of Sharon Ave. in Pennfield Township called to report lights on in a neighboring house that was being renovated. Deputies arrived at the scene and entered the house, finding two suspects inside.
Both suspects, a 29-year-old woman from Battle Creek and a 34-year-old man from Pennfield, were arrested and lodged in jail on Breaking & Entering charges. The man is also set to face felony firearm charges, since there were multiple guns inside the home.
This crime continues to be investigated.
