I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit Michigan where I attended and graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School. “CC” as it is commonly referred to, is a private, Catholic, all-male college preparatory high school. Catch Live with Renk weekdays from 9 til Noon. He then attended and graduated from Central Michigan University with a business degree majoring in finance. Renk started his professional working career in the banking industry in Boston, Massachusetts, a great town for a young person. Renk worked in the corporate and municipal bond accounting area of banking. That position led him to a company that sold bond accounting systems to the banking industry, the same accounting system his department used at the bank he worked for. Renk took a position with that company and traveled all over the United States working with a team that took on major forensic accounting projects at banks. His team would train their employees on the proper use of our bond accounting system and determine and solve the discrepancies between their system and bank accounts. He finally settled down in Philadelphia to work with a company that helped pharmaceutical companies deal with FDA regulatory compliance. In that company, he took on several executive roles and traveled, once again, all over the United States and Europe on behalf of their clients. Renk led a team that determined if the clients of the pharmaceutical companies were in compliance with what was known as the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) part 11 of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations; Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures (21 CFR Part 11). Renk decided to move back to his home state and settled in Battle Creek, Michigan. He had listened to talk radio for many years and had an interest in politics. That is when he decided to pursue an entirely different path in his life as a radio talk show host. He got his first break in radio as a result of being a frequent caller. He caught the ear of the Program Director and when the show’s host left to run for political office, he got his chance. He turned a one-hour show into a three-hour show and added WKMI in Kalamazoo in 2011 as an affiliate and eventually added WJIM in Lansing Michigan for three years. Renk's number one concern is the truth. He informs his listeners so they can form their opinions based on that truth and the context in which he discusses the issues. He is called the “Rock ‘n Roll of Talk Radio” and a voice of reason in unreasonable times. To contact Renk email him at Renk@townsquaremedia.com
