Barn Theatre Announces 72nd Season
The Barn Theatre kicks off its 72nd season on May 24th, with eight summer stock offerings, ranging from Woody Allen to “Beauty and the Beast.” The Barn will also stage two classic comedies, and the popular musical “Hairspray”.

Join us as we kick off the 72nd Season with an unforgettable evening of music and memories! Barnies will take you behind the Barn in song and stories and preview the spectacular 72nd season. This special event is $50 per person. Reception and silent auction follow the performance.
The Civil War
June 5 – 10
This thrilling and awe-inspiring "dramatic theatrical concert" features an unforgettable score filled with Gospel, Country, Rock and Folk. This epic thematic revue explores the experiences of the soldiers and leaders who fought for their way of life as well as the hopes and fears of the slaves whose freedom was at stake. This musical passionately asks us to consider our beliefs about freedom, honor and faith.
June 12 – 17
One of the funniest farces ever written, Noises Off is a roller coaster, hilarious look at theatre - inside and out - as a hapless troupe of actors attempt to mount the dreadful comedy. Door slamming, missed cues, and romantic intrigue will have you roaring with laughter as the casts' collective sanity slowly unravels. Yet, the show must go on; despite the catastrophe being played out on stage and the vicious antics unfolding backstage.
June 19 – July 1
Broadway’s musical-comedy phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture! It’s 1962, and pleasantly plump Baltimore teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire – to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy transforms from social outcast to sudden star, but must use her newfound power to vanquish the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of Link Larkin and integrate a TV network – all without denting her ‘do!

Run for Your Wife
July 17 - 29
An outrageous comedy about a taxi driver who gets away with having two wives in different areas of town because of his irregular work schedule. Complication is piled upon complication as he tries to keep his double life from exploding. This cabby’s predicament will have the audience rolling in the aisles as he runs back and forth from wife to wife in this superb example of a classic farce.
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast
July 31 – August 1
A tale as old as time in this Disney classic telling the tale of an enchanted prince in the shape of a hideous beast and the intelligent woman who enters his life and must learn to love him to break the curse. Based on the award-winning family favorite, you’ll be swept away into this enchanted musical. This classical musical love story comes to life with unforgettable characters, astonishing sets and costumes, and a stunning score including, "Be Our Guest," "Gaston," "Human Again," and the Tony-winning title song, "Beauty and the Beast."
Bullets Over Broadway
August 14 - 26
You’ll be taken on a hilarious trip back to the Roaring Twenties in this musical adaptation of Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath’s madcap film. Bullets Over Broadway is the side-splitting musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show, filled with tap dancing gangsters, saucy showgirls, big laughs and colorful characters. A young playwright who is in desperate need of financial backing for his show accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a gangster looking to please his ditzy, talentless girlfriend.
August 28 – September 2
This campy, laugh-riot musical centers around a group of New Yorkers attending the opening of a floating casino and discotheque that quickly succumbs to multiple disasters. These calamities correlate with plots of various disaster films of the 1970s and include all the best songs from the ’70s (pop, rock and disco!) and non-stop comedy for two acts – who could ask for anything more?
