Be A Volunteer For Ribfest, Because Free Is Always Better

If you enjoy live music and eating ribs from some of the best dang pit masters around you definitely don't want to miss the 2019 Kalamazoo Ribfest.  How would like to attend one of the best events of the summer season without paying? Volunteer sign up is now open! This years headliners are Everclear, Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne.

• Every volunteer gets a FREE Ribfest volunteer shirt and FREE admission into the festival the day they are volunteering.
• We love to see groups volunteer! If you have a large group who would like to volunteer, email Maya Mokrzan at maya.mokrzan@townsquaremedia.com, and we will make sure you are all signed up for the same time​​.

Volunteer Job Descriptions:

Admission Gate:  Helping at our two entrances (main entrance on Water St. at the bridge and the VIP/Pre-purchased tickets entrance off of Eleanor St.) with managing ticket purchases and scanning of tickets upon entry

Ticket Booth:  Helping in the ticket booths to sell the tickets used to purchase beverages

Beverage Tent:  Helping to collect tickets and serve beverages at any of our beverage locations (main dome, craft beer tent, pop station, VIP tent)

Rib Competition Volunteers:  Assisting with the preparation and execution of the Best Ribs in Kalamazoo Competition Thursday night and the Sponsors Choice on Friday night, happening inside the VIP tent

Recycling Assistant:  Working with Schupan Recycling to help attendees put their trash and recycling in the correct bins
