Lansing is smack dab in the middle of the two Michigan towns that made this year's list from WalletHub for the 'Best & Worst Places to Raise a Family'. According to their list, the absolute worst place to raise a family in all of the United States in 2019, is Detroit, Michigan. Some of the factors that they used to compile their list include "the cost of housing, the quality of local school and health-care systems, and the opportunities for fun and recreation." While Detroit may be considered "the worst," there was a town in Michigan that ranked pretty decent. The WalletHub list ranked the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan at #90 out of the #182 towns that were ranked.
