The Battle Creek police held a press conference Tuesday afternoon following up on a rape investigation against three young boys. They are accused of sexually assaulting two younger boys and then trying to cover it up by setting fire to a garage on Wabash Street near Capital Avenue NW where the assaults are suspected to have taken place earlier this month.

Police have not confirmed whether the alleged incidents were isolated incidents and said they are still determining what exactly happened. There are rumors and reports that there could be more victims in this case. Police did confirm that the alleged victims in this case were brothers, ages 6 and 8, and that they were an acquaintance of some kind to the boys accused of the crimes. The three suspects, ages 11 to 13, are still in custody. They are lodged on first degree criminal sexual conduct charges. The arson is a separate investigation at this time.

Due to the ages of all involved, no names of alleged suspects or victims are being released. Stay with 95.3 WBCK on-air and online for continuing updates on this case.
