Did you have someone, a star from the previous generation you just had to see? That's why they call them "legends". For me, it was to see Sinatra, and the Beatles. What about you? We've had a few legends come here in the past few years. Elton John played Wings a few years back. Billy Joel was in Chicago at Wrigley Field Friday night. Paul McCartney did a pub with James Corden, and played a street corner in New York City this past weekend.

The reason for mentioning this is, another one of those bucket list artists is going to be at Van Andel on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019. Tickets for Cher go on sale this Friday, Sept. 14th, at 10am. The link above has some pre-sale information through Cher's tour sponsor.

This is going to sound like a morbid backhanded compliment, but Cher is 72. She's not going to be around forever (though her plastic surgery might). Even though the Mamma Mia sequel bombed, this tour is named after it (Here We Go Again) That said, Cher has done several farewell tour stops in Grand Rapids before, most recently in 2002 and 2003. Still, she is one of those bucket list artist.
