Child-Friendly Ambulance Introduced For Bronson Children’s Hospital

Bronson Healthcare will be operating a new ambulance very soon that will be exclusively for child patient transport.

In a news release, Bronson says that the pediatric ambulance will bring children from around Southwest Michigan to Bronson Children’s Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment. The ambulance is designed to make kids feel more comfortable, featuring art on the side and a blue sky on the inside ceiling; the vehicle will also carry medical equipment specifically for child patients.

This project has been in the works for more than two years, as the Bronson Health Foundation worked with the community and donors to raise the $300,000 needed.

The vehicle should be in service within the month.
