What exactly are we willing as a nation to pay for the cost of our freedom?

A firestorm over comments made in a Bill O”Reilly blog post has turned the fake news industry, that being the Main Stream Manipulative News (MSMN), on its head.

In the post Bill wrote:

Public safety demands logical gun laws but the issue is so polarizing and emotional that little will be accomplished as there is no common ground.

The NRA and its supporters want easy access to weapons, while the left wants them banned.

This is the price of freedom.  Violent nuts are allowed to roam free until they do damage, no matter how threatening they are.

The Second Amendment is clear that Americans have a right to arm themselves for protection.  Even the loons.”

I put the large pull quote in this article to make sure you understood the context in which he wrote the words “this is the price of freedom” because most in the MSMN do not, including a headline on The Drudge Report.

All the MSMN headlines, again including The Drudge Report, scream that of misleading facts.

For example the Los Angeles Times headline screams “Bill O'Reilly calls mass shootings 'the price of freedom'”, really is that what he said?

How about Thehill.com headline “Bill O'Reilly: Las Vegas shooting 'the price of freedom'”.  Did he really say that?

The Variety news site headline states “Bill O’Reilly: Vegas Shooting ‘The Price of Freedom’”, again did he really state that?

The GQ magazine headline states “Bill O'Reilly Thinks Dying in Mass Shootings Is the "Price of Freedom"”.  I did not read that in his blog, did you?

How about the Huffington Post’s headline: “Bill O’Reilly On Las Vegas Massacre: ‘This Is The Price Of Freedom’”, again is that what he said?

These headlines are endless today and I could have given you a dozen more.

This is simply the politicization and outright misleading headlines and reporting by most of the MSMN.  I will not fall into that category because I want the truth and facts to be heard and understood.  We should all let the facts guide us in our opinions.

This leads me back to my original question and that is: what is the cost of freedom?  Can we stop mass killings by shooting, cars, trucks and alike?  If we cannot then what is the answer.

If 99.9% of gun owners are not insane or do not intend to kill people just to kill them then do we stop those 99.9% of Americans from owning guns?

What is the Republican Party or anyone who believes in the 2nd Amendment to do?  The Republicans are in a political bind, the increase of shootings will empower the left and anyone who does not believe in the 2nd Amendment to increase their call and want to ban or at the least extremely limit who has the right to own and carry guns.

What do you say to those who say the Republican Party has not offered any real solutions to the right of people to own guns and mass shootings or shootings in general?

Does the Republican Party owe the American people a solution or is mass killings or murder in general a cost of freedom?
